Listed below are our varieties of Seed Potatoes

FIRST EARLIES

Arran Pilot   
White. Very early with long kidney shaped tubers. High yielding. Seldom disintegrates or discolours. Short to medium storage qualities.

Home Guard
White, Oval tubers, Pure white flesh and pale skin. Very fine flavour. Firm texture free from discolouration. Still a lovely variety.

Rocket
White. Exceptionally early, round tubers. White skin and flesh. Early bulking, a lovely salad potato. Highly recommended.

Red Duke of York
Red. One of the few early reds. Round good shaped tubers, a lovely salad potato. Cooks well. Medium yielding. Seldom disintegrates. Medium to long storage.

Lady Christl
White. Modern disease resistant variety. Oval uniforms tubers, yellow fleshed. Very fine flavour. Boiling, Salad potato. First bred in 1996.

Pentland Javelin
White. Short, oval attractive tubers. Floury white flesh, pale skin. better than average yields. A lovely salad potato. Rarely disintegrates when cooking. Very good storage qualities

Suttons Foremost
White. Short, oval tubers. Creamy white flesh, pale yellow flesh. excellent flavour, good yields. a lovely salad potato of fine quality. superb first early variety. well tried favourite.

Vanessa
Red. Long Oval Tubers. Red skin, pale yellow flesh. Good cooking qualities. A lovely salad potato. Highly recommended

SECOND EARLIES

Kestrel
White. High yields of uniform sized tubers. Cream flesh, skin white with purple eyes. Excellent for baking, mashing, roasting and chipping. Good flavour and disease resistance.

Wilja
White. Yellow long oval tubers. firm flesh no discolouration. High yielding. Large uniform size. Tried and tested boiling, general purpose. The british gardeners favourite.

Maris Peer
White. White short oval tubers. Firm flesh no discolouration. Remarkable purple flowers. Very uniform size. The ultimate boiling potato.


MAINCROP

Desiree
Red. Short round to oval tubers. Red skin with smooth yellow flesh. High yielding. Good for roasting, chipping and boiling. Flavour improves with storage. Perhaps the best maincrop red.

King Edward
White. Short round to oval tubers. Red blotched skin, red eyes. Creamy flesh. good for roasting, chipping and baking. Medium cropper. An old favourite.

Pentland Crown
White. White flesh and skin. High disease resistance. Good to roast and mash. excellent storage qualities.

Maris Piper
White. Excellent flavour and texture. Very heavy yielder. White flesh and skin. High disease resistance. Great roaster and chipper. Excellent storage qualities.
